Ms Sonia Gandhi has not learned yet the basic nuances of democracy. For instance, she slams the BJP for picking on Dr. Manmohan Singh. According to her, Dr. Singh is the Prime Minister, and hence a leader of the country, and not a leader of a party.
Strange logic for the Congress party has projected Dr. Manmohan Singh as its prime ministerial candidate, why should the Opposition keep him above party politics? As Prime Minister, Dr. Singh is free to attack Mr. Advani and free to canvass for Congress candidates. If he is only the leader of the country, he should canvass for all candidates or refrain from canvassing.
Proxy PM
Ms. Sonia Gandhi is unable to clearly demarcate the party and the Government. As a prime ministerial candidate, Dr. Singh is a candidate of the Congress Party, and will be treated as such. The focus of attack must be on Dr. Singh who was Proxy PM for five years.
That he misled Parliament is not a joke; that he was engrossed for four full years with the Indo-US nuclear deal and at the end of it came home with a good conduct certificate from President Bush! That he is the weakest Prime Minister India ever had is a fact. It was he who confessed he was out of the loop when Octavio Quattrocchi was allowed to flee with the Bofors kickbacks.
It hurts Ms. Sonia Gandhi because she weakened him; she purposely chose someone weak, who could be manipulated. Why didn't she pick Mr. Pranab Mukherjee? When it came to stalling the Opposition attacks and answering questions, the Congress fielded the same Pranab Mukherjee! An attack on Manmohan Singh is an attack on the party to which he belongs. An attack on Manmohan Singh is an attack on Sonia Gandhi for whom he was/is the proxy.
Did Dr. Manmohan Singh seek the mandate of the people via the usual democratic process? Even now he is refusing to face the electorate, though he boasts that the UPA government has fulfilled 85 percent of its promises. Why doesn't he go to the people and seek a mandate on his success story? He is Sonia's-handpicked man, brought in by the backdoor to simulate a make-believe democracy. An attack on the PM is no attack on the people of this country as stated by Sonia Gandhi.
By this logic, an attack on Mr. Narendra Modi, elected Chief Minister of Gujarat, is attack on the people of Gujarat. An attack on Mr. L.K. Advani, Leader of the Opposition, is an attack on those who voted him as their leader.
In the case of Dr. Manmohan Singh, Ms. Sonia Gandhi selected him; he was not elected by the people; so how can she say that an attack on him is an attack on the people of this nation? Ms. Gandhi seems to think she has the copyright to criticize Mr. Advani, but the latter does not have the right to point out the biggest political failure the UPA committed - it inflicted a weak PM on the country.
Terrorism under NDA and UPA
This discredit goes politically and personally to Ms. Sonia Gandhi. She has been claiming that when Mr. Advani was Union Home Minister, there were a number of serial bomb blasts across the country and Parliament was attacked. As Congress president, she should have got her statistics right. How many serial blasts occurred during BJP rule and how many occurred during UPA rule?
Yes, Parliament was attacked and for that reason the BJP was pulled down from power. Sonia Gandhi seems to be stuck with Kandahar when a planeload of innocent people were held hostages. Release of four terrorists in exchange was the demand. Justice demands that there can be no punishment twice for the same failure. For the attack on Parliament, BJP was ousted and the UPA government came in, but what has UPA to show that terrorists were on the run?
Fourteen serial blasts occurred across the country; in Delhi, the Union Home Minister changed his clothes before visiting each blast site! The Mumbai bloodbath saw Sonia Gandhi spouting hollow pieties, "we will not kneel before the terrorists." It was not the intention of the terrorists to make others kneel - they wanted to massacre people and bleed this nation and that's precisely what they achieved.
One Mumbai itself is an indictment of the UPA, because Home Minister Chidambaram conceded it was a failure on the part of the government, which failed to pick up the intelligence inputs. He promised such dastardly acts would be prevented. The comfort offered to the people was the setting up of a Federal agency. Ms. Gandhi has no moral right to condemn the BJP government for the terrorism that Congress encouraged through its appeasement policy, by communalizing every area of the polity and the people.
Can Sonia recall a single nation in the world where the country's national flag is burned and the Government just looks the other way? She once called Mr. Vajpayee a traitor and tagged Mr. Modi as a merchant of death. The Congress president forgets that Congress' hand is bloodied with the blood of 3000 Sikhs. Yet it the Gujarat riots in which around 1100 died is a case study for Congress.
In 1984, the Congress under Rajiv Gandhi simply allowed a carnage in the capital for three days; he spewed venom by justifying it by stating that when a large tree falls, the ground around it shakes. This is the party which points an accusing finger at Mr. Modi and the BJP; a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.
Rahul: the Poverty PM
Rahul Gandhi, projected as a future Prime Minister of India by the Congress party, does not even have a basic understanding of the country - demographically, politically, economically, and socially. Hence he discovered a poor scheduled caste woman in his constituency and it made media news! What a great discovery.
Then he took a British MP to peep into a cowshed to give him an idea of rural India. The blind leading the blind too makes headlines. Now we have him assert that even if there is a single poor person in India, the party will stand/fight for him. Poor Rahul Gandhi; does he know the percentage of persons Below the Poverty Line; does he know the measurements used to identify the PL and what it means in absolute numbers? Is he aware that the party and family to which he belongs has been using the poor only for sloganeering for the longest period in democratic India, and the result is the increase of poverty? Has he read the 20 point programme his grandmother ushered in with great promise of green pastures, her 'Garibi Haato' slogan to drive out poverty?
All the time, poverty was seeping in. His father with 'power to the people' and the vision for the 21st century, saw many households falling below poverty line while Mr. Quattrocchi and his ilk fleeced the country His mother, Sonia, rechristened the National Rural Employment Programme and the Integrated Rural Development Programme as the National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme and held it out as the magic wand to wish away rural poverty for the aam admi. All the time, the farmers' suicide rates were steadily rising.
Now Rahul Gandhi promises to stand for the poor even if it is a single person. What a fantasy! Is this Alice in Wonderland that he is reading, nay, reeling out to us? It is now youth power, but poor Manmohan Singh is the man who is the prime ministerial candidate for the Congress because according to Rahul Gandhi, he is young in mind! Everything to suit their perception and mindset!
Rahul Gandhi cannot understand that the Gandhi family perception is not the perception held by one billion people of India. The people live in reality and not in fantasies. India is no pocket borough of the Gandhi family. The Election Commission ups its antenna and attunes it to other politicians, but not on Manmohan Singh, who has raked up the demolition of the Babri Masjid. Is that not communal?
Congress has promised reservation on the basis of religion; is that not communal? Why is the Election Commission silent? For four acts of betrayal the Congress should be defeated:-
1] Abetment of terrorism
2] Massacre of Sikhs
3] Burning of the national flag in Kashmir; and
4] The ominous ethnic cleansing of Hindus in J&K.
Rape vs Rapes
Manmohan Singh who said the Kandhamal rape of a nun is a blot on the nation should realize that after the genocide of innocent Sikhs and the rape of Sikh girls, the Congress Party has no legitimacy to point at one rape. Every Congress man/woman is stuck with the Gujarat riots and the violation of human rights. Indian democracy did not start in 2003.Why should the Sikh genocide be covered up? Why should the party not be answerable for breaking the Babri Masjid locks and communalizing the polity? The Congress which had no hesitation in clamping Emergency and kept Constitutional rights in abeyance cannot be entrusted with upholding the Constitutional rights of the people.  
The Union territory of Delhi has a Congress government in power, but is the most unsafe State in India for women and children. If one rape is a blot on the nation, what of the hundreds of rapes of minors and women?
Minorityism runs riot
Congress has taken minorityism to an unimaginable low, creating a separate ministry; its secular credentials mean subsidizing the Haj to guarantee the salvation of Muslims with taxpayer money. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Muslims have the first claim on national resources; but Congress erected permanent walls of ghettos for minorities and called them votebanks.
Till date the party has not brought to justice a single terrorist; Afzal Guru is kept safe with taxpayer money. Being in power for the longest period in democratic India, it divided the people into segments of caste and creed; every action and inaction of the Congress was based on abetting distrust and hatred among Indians, polarizing communities on the basis of religion, pitting one community against the other.
One people, one nation, and one flag has been shredded and torn apart by the Congress. It has sins to repent for, sins to make amends for, and sins which cannot be forgiven for these have scarred, dented and crippled the nation. For these and many other omissions not mentioned here, Indians should recognize the Congress as a party of deception and vile intent.
India cannot be safe in the hands of a certified Indian citizen who may well be holding the citizenship of Italy also. India's destiny should not be entrusted to such a HAND.

The biggest threat to Israeli Jewish existence is neither religious, nor military: a Palestinian terrorist threat is negligible, and our nuclear option deters Arab states. The biggest threats are three: strategic, political, and economic.
On the strategic level, Israelis lose hope. They should be told honestly and clearly that they must not lose hope for peace – because they must not harbor any such hope in the first place. There will be no peace here, ever. Muslims will be always hostile, defense has to be always maintained, and Palestinians will engage in terrorism and sabotage. We shall lose no hope because there is no hope. This is the way of living here, among the sea of Muslims.
On the political level, Israelis lose the very Israel-ness, patriotism. Not surprisingly. Patriotism is attachment to the land of our ancestors. But media brainwashes the Israeli that Judea and Samaria is not our land and the Arabs’ (therefore not our) ancestors lived here. Patriotism cannot base itself on the meek “but we, too, need a place to live.” Israeli identity can only survive by becoming assertive – at the Palestinians’ expense. We cannot have peace, we don’t want peace, and we want this land in its entirety – as much as we can circle with our tanks. This is the only patriotism in existence among human beings.
On the economic level, Israel is a complete disaster. It took ingenious Jewish socialists and Jewish bureaucrats to defeat Jewish entrepreneurs. Jews are the best in good and evil alike, and evil Jews have prevailed. No patriotism can stand economic deficiency. Russians are extremely patriotic, but capitalism’s riches lured many of them to America. Israeli patriotism cannot stand the trial of net wages being four times lower than in America. Israeli government lobbies America, Canada, and Australia frantically to enforce immigration restrictions. The lousy economy threatens the very existence of Jewish people in Israel, as they would steadily emigrate and assimilate. There is no issue of reforming Israeli economic framework – it must be demolished. Trade unions must be banned, a flat figure of 99% of bureaucrats fired, and regulation abolished rather than changed. This objective is immensely more urgent than the worthless peace with Palestinians or useless peace with Syria.

Mumbai/Hyderabad: A charity run by discredited Satyam Computer Services Ltd former chairman B. Ramalinga Raju has come under scrutiny as two non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have said in court that the charity was used to grab land and overcharge the government, which funded it through its National Health Mission. The emergency ambulance service, called Emergency Access Foundation (Emri) is modelled on the 911 service provided in the US during medical emergencies. Emri owns 1,500 ambulances and employs 12,000 people, according to its CEO Venkat Changavalli.

The registrar of the Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the Union of India, 12 state governments and Emri to respond by 18 February to a petition filed by Ambulance Access Foundation Ltd and Transparency in Contracts. This happened even as some state governments, who deal with Emri, told Mint that they are mulling whether to terminate existing contracts, rivals allege that the charity has violated several official rules and its bankers say that they are keeping a close watch on its accounts.

Quite unlike the US 911 service, Emri was dependent on generous government funding. The petitioners say that 95% of the costs incurred by Emri— including both capital and operating costs—were borne by government agencies. The two NGOs add that most contracts were given out to Emri without proper tendering, while in some cases tenders were tailor-made to benefit Emri.  The public interest litigation (PIL) was filed on 24 October based on information running into 25,000 pages collected with the help of 504 applications using the Right to Information Act. Notices were issued by the Supreme Court on 17 November, well before the Satyam accounting scandal came out into the open.

“Why does Emri require 20 acres of land in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar or Bangalore to run a control centre?” asks Subrato Das, executive trustee and CEO of Lifeline Foundation, a Vadodara-based non-profit ambulance service that began in 2002 and now operates in six states. “Every asset that Emri uses, including the real estate, is owned by the government,” counters Changavalli.

Even as other charities running ambulances bristle at what they perceive as unfair deals to benefit Emri, other stakeholders are responding to the questions raised by the two petitioners in court.

Mint learns that a few states —including Maharashtra, Punjab and Meghalaya—are now thinking of withdrawing from contracts they had awarded to Emri, especially after the 7 January admission by Raju that he had fudged Satyam’s accounts.

In a phone interview with Mint, Changavalli denied that any of the eight states that use Emri services are backing out. “We are operating in eight states—Assam, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Maharashtra and Orissa,” he reiterated.

ROBERT VADRA BAINTIKA HUSBAND GOT 65 CRORES RUPPEES WITHOUT SECURITY

Even worse is the case of Robert Vadra, Priyankaji’s husband. It seems DLF lent Robertji Rs 65 crore without any security – and the media and social activists are making that out to be a crime. What crime? Many friends in business have lent me hundreds of crores without any security over the decades – and they haven’t even asked for me to return it. Why would they? After all, as a friend, I’ve helped them on so many instances that they’ve earned fortunes from our friendship. Now, media is making it sound like it’s a crime for MPs and ministers to help friends. What a terrible state of affairs.

Sharad Pawar’s nephew has been forced to resign because of some allegations on a developmental work that he was involved in. Media says that he helped contractors make extra money by approving of rises in estimates after the contracts were awarded. What is wrong with that? Your grandfather used to do the same with his friends, as did I.

Ministers like Raja, Kanimozhi and Kalmadi have been jailed because of trying to help their friends. This is where our country is going to. No one has any respect for our class any more, and the media and social activists are being helped by the courts – they’re ganging up against us.

Things are bad in India, son. It is becoming difficult for people like us to carry on in the way we are used to. We are treated like commoners, we are called cheats and thugs. We’re reaching a stage when toll booth attendants expect us to pay – an FIR was filed against an MP who, obviously got upset at the request and threatened the attendant with a gun for his cheek.

It is getting very petty. The other day, Air-India staff at Guwahati charged three MPs for carrying excess baggage. MPs not being allowed excess baggage on the national airline, and lowly employees of Air-India not respecting them? This is the new India, the India you want to come back to!

That’s why I write this note to them . Do not come back to India, and forget about plans on a career in politics.

Come to Geneva next week; I will meet them there. I will transfer money to their  account so that they  can invest in a house in Germany for my stay. As far as business is concerned, maybe they  could buy a university nearby. After all, my uncle has six universities in India and they are quite profitable. I will ask him to guide them when they begin your venture. Will discuss in detail when we meet next week.

LIBERALISM TOO HAS PLAYED DESTRUCTIVE ROLE IN HINDU RELIGION , AS ITALIANS STARTED ROBBING UP ON INDIAN WITH IMPUGNITY

  Liberalism, too, has played a destructive role in Hindu religion. The pictures and names of Hindu Gods & Goddesses are freely used as mean trademarks and trade names. Ganesh Bidi, Ganesh Chhaap Khaini, Durga Lottery etc. by the Hindus themselves certainly lowers the respect for Hindu Gods in the mind of others. Taking a cue, the foreign companies dare to print the pictures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses on such mean things as undergarments, shoes and commodes. Would they dare to do the same with the deities of other faiths?                        Making films on Hindu Gods & Goddesses causes irreparable harm to the faith. Human beings personifying Hindu Gods & Goddesses, picturization of vulgar scenes/songs in temples, showing Hindu Gods & Goddesses smoking in ad films only lowers their respect in the eyes of people.                         

TV serials like Ramayana, Maha Bharata, Jai Hanuman, Sri Krishna etc., where human beings play the divine role for money, encourage commercialisation of the Hindu ecclesiastical domain. Even in Jagrans, the bhaints are based on film tunes that certainly spoils the sanctity. The pictures of Hindu Gods & Goddesses on calendars, in newspapers and magazines being trampled under feet in streets definitely lower the respect in the mind of others. On the contrary, ban on assuming the role of Sikh Gurus or Muslim Prophet maintains reverence. Inviting censure of Sikhs by films like “Sava Lakh Se Ek Ladaoon”, and “Jo Bole So Nihal” are live examples of the concern of the Sikh community for their gurus, which regretfully is missing in the attitude of the Hindus.The beggars wearing masks of Hindu Gods and posing as Gods for begging in bazaars & streets definitely reduces obeisance for the Gods.

Lack of discipline and non-availability of facilities in temples, inns and places of pilgrimage:                 Lack of discipline in Hindu temples and places of pilgrimage is also a serious stigma. The managing bodies of the Hindu religious places and the pandas are largely unscrupulous & selfish and are only interested in minting money. The ashrams and dharamshalas are used as enterprises of profit. On the contrary, the ample availability of food, shelter and services in gurudwaras certainly inspires a sense of security & respect in the mind of visitors. This has resulted in the taking over of the management of several Hindu shrines and places of pilgrimage by government. Could any government dare to do the same with a mosque or a gurudwara or a church?             Males and females bathing together at places of Hindu pilgrimage or in sacred rivers/ponds become objects of sensuousness only. Lack of conveniences, defecating and  defiling the surroundings by the visitors present a nauseating look. On the contrary, strict discipline is observed in gurudwaras, which certainly helps in maintaining reverence for these places.

This human rights violation, it goes unheard!! Kashmir, Assam, Tripura, Bengal, Odisha & all other bordering states need to seal their borders preventing any infiltration as once. At this stage, almost ¾ Western Assam has been captured by Bangla Deshi Muslim infiltrators supported by HUJI, IM, ISI & such terror groups. They hoist Pakistani, Bangla Deshi flags in Assam for past 15 years as they did in Kashmir. They have been attacking local tribes – Karbi Anglong, Khasi, Dimasa, Kachari, Jaintia, Bodo, Chongloi & many such indigenous original tribes in Neelachal – Assam – who have been there for ages. Bangla Deshi infiltrators have captured their lands, houses attacking them, raping their women, killing almost half the tribal population there, posing dire threat to Bharat’s security.”

Today there is arson & hundreds of Tribals are murdered in Assam. Over 500 villages are burnt totally. Tribes & other Hindus are fleeing to temporary shelters, being killed by terrorist infiltrators & by the Govt machinery. Govts are protecting Bangla Deshi Muslim infiltrators & pumping bullets into the original tribes who actually need protection. Almost 1 lakh people are now in shelters – homeless, lost their near & dear ones & everything that those poor Tribals had, because Govts bend before Bangla Deshi Muslims for votes. The PM of ‘India’ & his party’s head Madam called Assam CM to protect Muslims & not the Tribals, otherwise govt agencies would not have killed many Bodos, other Tribals & Hindus with Govt bullets! The PM & Madam never called U.P. CM to stop violence against Hindus in Koshi Mathura, Bareilly, and Pratapgadh etc. The duo never called Andhra CM asking him to protect Hindus in 4 Minar area while Muslims brutally killed them. This shows Govt’s bias against Hindus & special love for Muslims.”

Asma's right. When pitted against the oppressed Hindus in Pakistan, the Muslims of India are indeed far better. A few days back there was a news that Hindus in Balochistan region are abducted and converted to Islam. The family members of those who've been abducted often avoid lodging complaints for fear of dire consequences. Many Hindus in Pakistan's Balochistan, Sindh and NWFP regions, embraced Islam for survival. Has any Muslim in India ever been forced to accept Hinduism in order to live in this country? The Marathas, who fought against Ahmadshah Abdali in 1761 and couldn't return, are now languishing in Pakistan doing menial jobs. Most of them are sweepers and Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul has the descendants of those Marathas working as toilet-cleaners. June, 2000, Time carried an article (later banned and deleted from the net) written by Craig Gaverns. He interviewed a few Hindu-Marathas (most of those Marathas are now forced Muslims) working as cleaners and attendants at PMA. One of them told him that once a Pakistani captain continuously slapped him and made him eat human excreta for not polishing his shoes properly. He fearlessly told Gaverns to disclose his name (Nanji Ubale) despite Gaverns had grave doubts about that man's safety. His name was carried and within a couple of days, he was hacked to pieces. Even those Hindus who got converted to Islam are treated very badly. They're always reminded of their humble and infidel roots. One such Hindu doctor Ratan Chitkara, who later embraced Islam and became Saeed Khan, was always denied promotion to become the C M H O (Chief Medical & Health Officer) at a hospital in Pakistan's Chitral province. The reason was that he willy-nilly accepted Islam. 'Dil se nahin liya' (not accepted from the core of his heart) observed his born Muslim  friend. My point is: Did the ancestors of the sub-continental Muslims ever accept Islam DIL SE ? Were they not converted to Islam by coercion? BBC, London's Roger Amlett's big essay ' Conversions on the sub-continent ' (1998) puts it bluntly  " Why do all the 'converted Muslims' of the sub-continent behave in a manner as if their Allah directly dropped them as Muslims from an imaginary heaven? Why do they (or their forefathers) forget that they were cajoled, coaxed and coerced into embracing Islam? " The Hindus in Pakistan constitute 2.67 % of its population, which is now close to 18 crores. According to Pakistan-born Ibn Warraq, an ex-Muslim, " By 2015 this ratio will drop down to almost one percent as very many existing Hindus will have accepted Islam to save their skins, precisely necks." Here in India, Muslims cry foul that they're discriminated against. This happens indeed. But don't they also get their rights and rightful positions in India? In India, Muslims have become the heads of the state. There've been so many top brass in the Armed Forces of India, who're Muslims. Can one show a single really big and influential Hindu in Pakistan? Why wasn't Pakistan's second Chief Justice Bhagwan Das, A Sindhi-Hindu from Shikarpur, Sindh, made the CJP (Chief Justice of Pakistan)? Why was Neeraj Chawla (actress Juhi Chawla's uncle, who chose to stay back in Pakistan following partition) abducted in spite of being a high official on Pakistan's Film Censor Board? Despite his seniority, he was not made the chief of the Censor Board of Pakistan. Has any Muslim been deprived of his rank in the sensitive army because of his religion? Didn't India have Idris Hasan Latif as the Air Chief Marshal? It's very easy to condemn sitting on the fence and when you're getting everything without much efforts. Look from a broader and deeper perspective and you'll realise that you're much better and well-ensconced here than the poor Hindus in Pakistan, who get no representation at any level. They cannot even register their marriage in Pakistan. Karachi and Islamabad universities abolished their Hindi departments and even certificate courses in Hindi because it's the language of the Kafirs (infidels). Except for Danish Kaneria, no Hindu ever played Test cricket in Pakistan, though Anil Dalpat came closest to playing and getting included in the final eleven. Why was Nirmal Mukherjee, a Bengali Hindu of PIA, never selected for the Pakistan national hockey team? He was PIA's vice captain in the early seventies. Veerbhadra Seksaria, the only Hindu industrialist from Pakistan, never got an opportunity to set up a cement factory in Pakistan's lone industrial city, Faislabad (erstwhile Layalpur). Indian media and some so-called secularists like Teesta Seetalvad (her husband's a Muslim), Arundhati Roy (a Syrian Christian) and Mallika Sarabhai (a Gujrati Hindu) scream from their rooftops when something 'wrong' happens to the Muslims in India. Why can't these influential secularists raise their voice in unison against the treatment meted out to the Hindus in Pakistan who live there as gentiles and lepers?     

Just the other day, a fellow Member of Parliament was almost shamed in the context of what media is calling a Rs 71 lakh ‘scam’. The media, who no longer seem to have respect for people like us, are harassing him the whole day, treating him like a common cheat.

 The Mainos have systematically plundered and exported the ancient treasures of India, especially temple sculptures of Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh, Mughal paintings and precious gems in Indian Museums, all protected and banned from export under the Antiquities and Art Treasures Act, 1972. The CBI had in 1993 registered cases on such illegal exports from a Chennai Suburb to an identified person in Italy (see enclosed document). Alitalia and Air India flights were used to send unchecked crates after after crates misusing the SPG cover first to Italy for display in shops owned by her family e.g.Etnica in Rivolta or Ganpati in Orbassano [see enclosed photo and calling card], and after creating an ownership on paper, getting the contraband auctioned by Sotheebys and Christies, the London auctioneers. Fred Watson’s            Sothebys-An Inside Story [Random House, 1998] gives some clues on such a racket. There is in the records of the Ministry of Human Resources enough materials in Notes on file of Directors Generals of Archeological Survey of India to suggest precious ancient paintings of the Mughal period were removed and declared “stolen” or missing, but ended up in a house in Golf Links, New Delhi which Ms.Sonia Gandhi had frequented. Even the Festival of India was used as a ploy to smuggle out such treasures.  In arranging these delicate operations the Mainos took the help Mr.Arjun Singh [when he was Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and later Union Human Resources Development Minister], art expert Martand Singh, a Pakistani couple Muneer and Farida Attaullah, London based Pakistani fixer Salman Thassir a prince of Kuwait, and even the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) which has been convicted by courts in India for the assassination of Mr.Rajiv Gandhi Thus, Ms.Sonia Gandhi and her Italian relatives are culpable for various offences under the Antiquities and Art Treasures Act as well as under Sections 295, 378 and 410 of the IPC.

When Rajiv Gandhi married Sonia Gandhi on February 25, 1968, she was poor. Her Father Stefano Maino had lost everything after his party leader, Benito Mussolini, the II Duce of Fascist Italy, was overthrown and killed. After World War II, Stefano became a brick layer, and Sonia’s mother, Paola Predebon, a share cropper. Like many poor Italian families, Sonia was dispatched to learn English in a teaching shop in Cambridge town and thus land a job as an hostess or in similar employment, a modest goal indeed. Her marriage to Rajiv Gandhi on 25.2.68 however changed all that. And because of the aforesaid illegal activities, the Maino family became in just 25 years the richest family of Italy with net worth of US $ 2.0 billion. The respected Swiss magazine, Schweizer Illusttrierte, in its November 1991 issue, reported that the Mainos had in 1991 about $2.7 billion. But over the 1990s decade, the Mainos appear to have lost some of the money due to reckless investments, collapse of the Barings Bank, and ostentatious spending. They are still worth about US $2.0 billion today.

Ms.Sonia Gandhi has also fully utilized the martyrdom of her husband Rajiv Gandhi to advance her political career as well as to take control of the Nehru family’s monetary inheritance. The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation was set up under her chairmanship and Rs.200 crores collected during Narasimha Rao’s          tenure as PM, for use in education and public affairs. Yet an analysis of the accounts of the Foundation show that only 3% of the income is being used for the stated objectives while 97% is deployed  for other goals including for private travel of Ms.Gandhi and her chosen ones. This is a violation of the Trust Act and thus Ms.Gandhi and other trustees can be          proceeded under Section 92 of the CPC. There is already a PIL in the Delhi High Court in this matter.

Circumstantial evidence is also fast accumulating that makes it now imperative for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe whether the mother (Ms.Paola Maino) and sister (Ms.Anushka Vinci) of Ms.Sonia Gandhi, have had a long term continuing association since 1984 with the terrorist organization, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), The Supreme Court had delivered on May 12, 1999 a stinging judgement that held the LTTE responsible for the assassination of India’s former Prime Minister Mr.Rajiv Gandhi. The Government had set up a Multi Disciplinary Monitoring Agency (MDMA) in August 1998, led by the CBI, to probe leads such as that have now surfaced regarding the Maino-LTTE links.

The Circumstantial evidence of these links include Sonia Gandhi’s plea for commuting the death penalty for her husband’s killers; in providing one acre of land near the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, for housing the Periyar Centre for the pro-LTTE and secessionist Dravida Kazhagam (DK) which had been indicted in Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination by the Jain Commission (Part III, Vol.IV, Chapter VII, Pages 161-73, of the Final Report) and whose seven key members have been sentenced along with nineteen others of the LTTE by the Supreme Court, for participating in the assassination conspiracy. There are several other examples of Ms.Sonia Gandhi going inexplicably soft                     on the LTTE, including remaining silent on the failure of the government to extradite the LTTE Supremo Prabhakaran.

The CBI-led Multi Disciplinary Monitoring Agency (MDMA) set up after the Jain Commission Final Report, should therefore send interrogatories to the Maino family in Italy about all this, and investigate the extent of their connections with LTTE.

Ms.Sonia Gandhi’s family in Italy constitutes a major national security risk for India, but paradoxically they enjoy the cover of the Indian state for their nefarious activities. The RAW, India’s foreign intelligence agency has reports of this national security risk. While in service (during Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure as PM), the Additional Director of RAW, B.Raman had in a report stated:

                                                                                                                                                      

“Ms.Sonia Gandhi’s umbilical cord is strongly tied to Italy. Her close relatives are Italian citizens living in Italy. India has important national security interest in Italy because of its arms, nuclear and technology supply relationships with Pakistan and China.”

Raman concluded that no source in Italy or in EU would cooperate with Indian Intelligence on this issue since they would fear that one day perhaps these sources may fall into Italian hands. After retirement from RAW, Raman even published these views in Statesman (May 16, 1999) in an article under his own name.

Italy, incidentally, is flouting US sanctions and providing avionics to the Sino-Pakistan Joint project to manufacture the F-1 Chinese design plane update, which is to be a successor to the US F-16 super fighter jets. Indian Intelligence is busy trying to build sources in Italy to track details of this collaboration.
